I have done it! On April 23rd 2010, I have successfully defended my thesis. It was a nice public defense with many participants. Jury directed some interesting questions and I enjoyed answering them.
The defense was followed by a nice reception at the Complex, where Turkish mezes and drinks were served.

So, I was able to defend my phd yesterday to the jury. Their decision was positive. I will make my public defense in April. I have to do some corrections to improve my dissertation until then.

In two weeks,

Hereby confirmation that the internal defense of the PhD of Ethem Pekin will take place January 29th at 11 am in the Faculty meeting room.

Yes, my thesis is submitted and already on its way for the members of the jury.

I look forward for the two weeks of holidays and then I will be back to prepare for the defense, which is expected to come sometime end of January or beginning of February.

So I have got the final corrections from my promoter.

My conclusions are also formulated. 90 percent of the corrections including the formatting are also done. Now I am going through the references. I will write acknowledgements tomorrow morning with a fresh mind.
